Saturday, September 7th: We are pleased to bring you the BakkenCon Cosplay Contest! This contest is for those 16+ (with parents' consent), and your cosplay must meet particular criteria.
There will be judges for the contest, and winners will receive awards and prizes.

Mavis, aka MaveyWavie, is a multi-award-winning cosplayer, director, and voice actor from Kansas City.
Mavis has been creating and fabricating cosplays since 2023, although they’ve been cosplaying since 2018. They love to spread the message of positivity and creativity and take pride in all of their work, no matter how “crazy” or “unknown” the character is.
After 19 years of theater, Mavis is a theater major who loves to voice act, create cosplays, rollerskate, frequent theme parks, and create content online.
They can be found on the YouTube Channel “The MaveyWavie Show,” Instagram as @mavey_wavie, and TikTok as maveywavie, where they love to share the process of projects and BTS of what goes on at conventions.
MaveyWavie will be one of the cosplay contest judges.
Rowan Rose is a talented cosplayer from North Dakota with 15 years of experience. With their amazing sewing skills, Rowan has brought over 20 different characters to life, from video games to comic book and anime characters. Embracing body positivity and pure fun with in the cosplay community, Rowan's creations are a must-see!
